EARTH MONTH 2024: GEMPORIA'S SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS
April is Earth Month, an event to celebrate our planet and take action to protect it.
With the ever-growing focus on climate change, businesses worldwide are taking steps to help reduce their carbon footprint – and we are no exception.
In 2021, we partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain to become a Carbon-Neutral Business, and since then, we have implemented a range of practices to make our operations more environmentally friendly.
These changes include:
Offsetting our carbon emissions into various international projects
Switching to recyclable packaging
Using 75% recycled Gold to create our jewellery, with a pledge to make this 100% by 2026
Responsibly sourcing gemstones from ethical mines and improving the conditions of those mines
Designing jewellery based on the gemstone, ensuring no wasted materials
We know there are always improvements to be made. But reducing our carbon footprint is something we are committed to, and we are taking our efforts further into 2024 and beyond.
For a deeper insight into how we are implementing the above changes, explore our blog from Earth Day 2023 which discusses our sustainability practices in full detail.
