I purchased 2 of these necklaces, one in the breakfast show and one in the 8pm show because I was blown away by the size of the pearls, the design is very modern and the lustre of the pearls looked good. I bought 2 because I couldn’t tell the difference between the strands from the TV auctions but there was a £150 difference. On arrival both strands took my breath away, really stunning. The most expensive of the two had smaller pearls, but better roundness and the lustre was that bit better. The least expensive was still very beautiful, but some of the pearls in this strand were huge although more toward an oval shape. I found choosing which strand to keep an almost impossible task as I fell in love with both. I did toy with the idea of keeping both and joining them together to make one very long strand which I could then wrap around my neck twice but as I already own the ombré opera length strand I couldn’t really justify it. In the end I retained the least expensive strand because it had much bigger pearls and I liked the more pronounced asymmetrical design of it and returned the other. Both strands really look like one of a kind pieces, very impactful but still have that simple elegance which can be worn to a ball or with a T-shirt and jeans. Gems designs are getting better and better.
