How long have you been at Gemporia, and how long have you been a presenter?

“I’ve been here for almost seven years, starting out as a producer and moving into presenting and jewellery design about a year later.

“This then went more into commercial projects overseas before founding VISAGE two years ago.”

What is your earliest Gemporia memory?

“My very first screen test, about eight years ago. At the time we had our American channel, RocksTV, and went on to present live across America.

“I’d never presented before, but had come from a jewellery background. I thought I’d be nervous, but I just loved every second of it.”

What is your favourite gemstone and why?

“This is always such a hard question; I’ve collected so many beautiful stones over the years with thanks to Gemporia, but it has to be Natural Yellow Diamonds.

“I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s something that I gravitate to daily when choosing what jewellery to wear.”

Who do you admire the most and why?

“I’m very lucky to have three incredible influences in my life who I admire.

“Firstly, Hattie, who you all know and love. She’s so driven and dedicated, and I admire her tenacity.

“Secondly, Abbey, who I’ve known for 25 years. She’s incredibly hard working and is a powerful woman whose ambition knows no bounds.

“Finally, my mum. She is the pinnacle of resilience and has always been an incredible influence and role model for me.”

What is your favourite place in the world and why?

“In terms of holiday destination, Monaco - I love the south of France and I think Monaco is a beautiful place with lovely energy.

“However, I do love being at home in my own sanctuary. I love being in my own little bubble and having the chance to relax.”

What are your guilty pleasures?

“Singing and dancing - my neighbours must think I’m mad.”

What was your dream job growing up?

“I always wanted to be a dancer. I danced for 16 years and loved every second of it, but when I went to university I figured out that I wanted to do more with my creative side.”

What advice would you give for choosing a piece of jewellery?

“Go with your gut. Almost every single piece of jewellery I own, particularly the ones that I wear and treasure the most, are the ones I felt I had a connection with.

“Sometimes you can’t put your finger on it, but there’s just something about a piece that you fall in love with - and they’re the ones that haunt me when I don’t get them!”

What quote/motto do you like to live by?

“Every day is a school day, because it really is! Always keep learning, and always learn from every situation.”
