AJP Accredited Jewellery Professional, studying with the GIA (Gemological Institute of America).

How long have you been at Gemporia, and how long have you been a presenter?

“I made my TV presenter debut in April 2004, 18 years ago this year. I’ve had the pleasure of being a Gemporia presenter since March 2011, 11 years ago this year.”

What is your earliest Gemporia memory?

“One of my first memories was walking into the studio for the first time and seeing how big the studio was.

“During my first show it was the wonderful quality of the jewellery and the low prices that amazed me, and over a decade later at Gemporia they still amaze me.”

What is your favourite gemstone and why?

“I’ve always said Ruby as it’s my birthstone, but I’m not sure I could choose - there are so many beautiful gems to pick from.”

Who do you admire the most and why?

“My wife, she’s amazing.”

What is your favourite place in the world and why?

“Home with my family - then probably Gemporia.”

What are your guilty pleasures?

“Eastenders - I haven’t missed an episode for years.”

What was your dream job growing up?

“I’ve always wanted to work in TV and Radio. I wanted to do something behind the scenes before I stepped in front of a microphone, and later a camera.”

What advice would you give for choosing a piece of jewellery?

“Buy it because you love it. There are so many opinions in the jewellery industry, but the most important one is yours.”

What quote/motto do you like to live by?

“Never give up and be happy.”
