| 1 min read

Held in a safe since it was unearthed 70 years ago with a pick and shovel by Walter Bartram in Coober Pedy, this 998g Opal is now on display in the South Australian Museum in Adelaide.

Walter initially decided not to sell the Opal because it was such a significant piece, however, the family recently decided to pass it on to the museum for the public to enjoy its incredible beauty.
