Frontend Developer

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (B98)

Salary: Competitive

Position Type: Permanent - Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Writing neat, semantic, concise, indented and thoroughly commented code for HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Working with key stakeholders and various team members to ensure that projects are delivered on-time.
  • Convert the vision of the design team into a responsive user experience.
  • Contribute ideas on how to progress moving forward with development.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience
  • Practical knowledge of HTML5 and SASS hand-coding skills
  • Practical knowledge of developing responsive websites
  • Practical knowledge of Javascript and jQuery
  • Passionate about the field, demonstrating keen interest in developing Frontend
  • Experience using grunt/web pack
  • Exposure to source control management, preferably GIT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Organisation, with efficient prioritisation, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Patience, flexibility and being receptive to feedback

Extra credit:

PR and Social Media Assistant

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (B98)

Salary: Competitive

Position Type: Permanent - Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the PR calendar and SM calendar for Gemporia Ltd brands, including scheduling SM posts.
  • Supports the cross-functional teams such as TV, Sales, Creative, Ecommerce and Marketing to ensure relevant activity is publicised appropriately.
  • Liaises with Gemporia's PR agency and media contacts as required
  • Drafts PR releases and content for all channels.
  • Arranges production of creative and media assets for PR and SM activity working with creative and studio teams.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with media contacts / bloggers / social media influencers to enable collaborative working.
  • Compiles a monthly PR and SM report for each Gemporia Ltd brand.
  • Support the TV, Creative and Digital Marketing teams on ad hoc projects when needed.
  • Attends planning and strategy meetings.

Skills and attributes Required:

  • Graduate (or equivalent) with proven experience in a commercial PR/SM role (6 months +)
  • Excellent written English and a flare for writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker, grasps complex ideas quickly and applies strategy consistently
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proactive, well-organised and efficient
  • High levels of energy and motivation
  • PR is the key competence but social media and digital expertise is a bonus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
