Schiller

Originating from  the  German  word  for  “play of different colours”, Schiller is commonly  used as an alternative word for fire or dispersion.  The more correct use of this term however, is in  describing iridescent-type lustre in gems such as  Labradorite, where layers of inclusions provide  a  bronze-like  lustre.  Other  gems  that  exhibit  schiller include Spectrolite and Sunstone.
