Orient

While  the  term  pearlescence  is  used  to  described  the  iridescence  in  a  Pearl,  “Orient”  is used to describe the depth of lustre, which is  created by layers of nacre. It is worth noting that  the lustre in a Pearl is more about deflected light  (bending of light), than reflected light.
