Is there a prettier birthstone than the birthstone for March? With its stunning sea-blue hue, Aquamarine is adored by jewellery lovers worldwide – it's even been known to be a favourite among the Royal Family, too.
Are you a March baby? Or do you know a March baby that needs their birthstone in their life? If so, there’s never been an easier (or more affordable) way to shop for it.
WHICH COLOURS GO BEST WITH YOUR GEMS?
Do you have a gemstone that you’re struggling to accessorise? Allow us to give you some ideas on which gemstone colours go best together!
The traditional colour wheel is a great visual tool to figure out which hues work in harmony with each other. As a general rule of thumb, ‘opposites attract’.
It has been said for many years that the two colours facing each other are the perfect pairing. Of course, occasionally, we should throw caution to the wind and ignore tradition completely.
Here are some suggestions for pairings that may be a little less classic, but equally as beautiful:
For red gems such as Ruby and Garnet, colours such as green and pink pair extremely well with them. Emerald, Malachite, Morganite and Kunzite are just a few stones that we would suggest.
SHOP GREEN GEMS
SHOP PINK GEMS
For green stones like Emerald, you can’t go wrong with a blue stone. Whether it’s Aquamarine, Turquoise or Lapis Lazuli, they’re all guaranteed to complement one another.
SHOP BLUE GEMS
Whichever shade of blue you choose, pink and purple are perfect colours to complement a blue gem. They can be Purple Diamonds, Tanzanite or even Queen Conch – the choice is completely yours.
SHOP PURPLE GEMS
If you’re lucky enough to own a golden coloured gemstone such as a Csarite or Citrine, purple stones such as Amethyst pair with them very nicely. Or, for a warm, summery look, you can always opt for an orange stone like Amber or a red stone like Ruby.

If you’re looking for something that goes with everything, then you can’t go far wrong with black! Black Diamond, Onyx and Black Spinel are your perfect go-tos when nothing else seems to match.
